Regional Achievements

Hekari United FC has proudly carried the Papua New Guinea flag on the regional stage, making history by becoming the first club from the Pacific Islands to win the OFC Champions League in 2010. This historic victory earned them qualification to the FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, a first for any PNG club. Hekari has since remained a strong contender in Oceania, reaching the OFC Champions League final again in 2025, finishing as runners-up to Auckland City FC. Their consistent presence in the region’s top competition has not only showcased the strength of PNG football but also inspired other clubs across the Pacific to aim higher.
